Twice each year, NOPE offers a limited number of training scholarships to small agencies. The John L. Carroll Memorial Scholarship covers the registration fee for one National NOPE live seminar or online e-Learning training.  The first application period for 2016 is now open.

To qualify, your agency must be a current member of National NOPE and have no more than 550 combined HCV-assisted and/or Public Housing (current or RAD-converted) units.  (Please note that the unit threshold was increased last year to align with the definition of a small agency used in the NOPE-supported Small Housing Agency Reform Proposal, a version of which was recently introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives.)

Scholarship applications are reviewed by NOPE staff and presented to the national NOPE Professional Development Committee for consideration and final approval. Award winners will be notified within ten business days after the selections have been finalized.

NOPE will award up to 10 scholarships to agencies applying during the current period, and an agency may apply for only one scholarship per application period.  The current application period will close at 5:00 p.m. EDT on April 6, 2016.

For more information and to apply, visit the John L. Carroll Memorial Scholarship page on NOPE’s website at http://www.nope.org/carroll-scholarship.
